"Humpback Whale - Breaching"
bronze sculpture

This is a very special piece - a wonderful sculpture by Pete Smit from Cobblecast Australia - the studio is situated on the north side of Brisbane.  This handcrafted bronze sculpture "Humpback Whale - Breaching" is a limited edition, this is number 5 of 50.  The foundry in Samsonvale is arguably the smallest commercial foundry in Australia which uses the 3000 year old Lost Wax Process.  This piece measures 50cms at its highest point and around 53cms at its widest and I can vouch for it being extremely heavy!
